VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE
Believe it or not, I have never played the sport. I was a volleyball 1streferee in Ohio for 18 years and became student of the game. I learned from some of the best coaches out there and the game became my passion.
I coached HS for 26 years, was a Club Director in Ohio for 12 years, prior to stepping into the Club Director at DME in 2015.
SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN VOLLEYBALL
AVCA 400 win club, 2008 State Championship Division I (Ohio) and the first public school to win that championship, Vice President OHSVCA District II, OHSVCA State Trustee, 10- time District Coach of the Year, 8-time Conference Coach of the Year. Coached 17 All-Ohio Players.
WHY DO YOU COACH VB AND WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT IT?
I coach because I had great coaches that made a difference in my life. In coaching I get to work with young people. I get to guide them in 2 of the most important games they will ever play: life and sports. Coaches get the opportunity to help mold young people into adults and I cannot think of a better profession in the world today.
